Math Learning Center Apps & QR Code Freebie

Our school has recently become 1:1 and the push for technology has become a big part of my teaching life.  I have been searching for apps like crazy and have struggled to find great apps for android tablets.  It seems all the good stuff is for Apple.  I did however stumble across http://catalog.mathlearningcenter.org/apps.  This is an awesome site even for teachers with limited technology.  If you have computers, tablets or a smart board in your room this is a wonderful site because the apps are available as open web apps.
I created a QR code table with the apps I have found most useful in my first grade classroom.  This makes it very easy for the kids to just scan the code and come to the carpet to get started.  We used the geo-boards for our math lesson today on congruent shapes and every child had a tablet with the board and every student was engaged!

Click the picture above to grab a copy. My plan is to add this page into my carpet bags for the kids so they can easily scan the code to get started.  I highly suggest you take a look.  I know you will love this site!

  1. Hello Lauren. So good to know you through your profile on the blogger. I am also glad to stop by your blog post though it has to do with teaching profession, it gives me an opportunity to share about the program our church has for the young people as well as adults from the West. I am in the Pastoral ministry for last 35yrs in the great city of Mumbai, India a city with great contrast where richest of rich and the porest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We also encourage young people as well as adults f rom the West to come to Mumbai on a short / long term missions trip to work with us in the slums of Mumbai during their vacation time. We would love to have you come with your friends to work with us during your vacation time. My email id is: dhwankheee(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar wankhede. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. God's richest blessings on you.
