Plants Freebie

I am feeling a bit on the stressed side this week.  We will be out of school in 3 short weeks (yes 3 weeks) and I have so much still to cover.  I am determined to finish up  my plants unit for science and I will also be doing Mrs. Abby’s Oz Unit with my kids this week during their testing.  I was trying to come up with some cute activities and centers for my kiddos that had a plant theme to it, so here’s what I came up with.  I hope you enjoy!
We are still really working hard on our nonsense words and we will be testing over this next week, so I made a planting words center for my kids to do during their Daily 5 time.  It is a cheap and fun way for the kids to practice and I made a recording sheet to go along with it.
I just used Styrofoam cups taped to the back and pipe cleaners for the stem.  I am thinking green Popsicle sticks may be better though. They are a little more sturdy.

I am also planning on decorating my door with a spring/summer theme and I figured I could also turn this into a learning activity.  I am going to have my kids make a synonym and antonym flower to add to our garden (classroom door).  I made a template that I plan to copy onto different colored construction paper.  The word goes in the middle and the synonyms/antonyms go on the petals.  You can grab your copy by clicking on the image below.

I will post more pictures from my Oz week and some fun freebies for testing.  I like to leave my kids little treats on their desks during end of the year testing.  I have labels that I make to go with them.  Those will be posted up soon. Have a wonderful week!

  3. They get discounts from the makers, motivation rewards, volume rewards, and the sky is the limit from there. Yes, you might have the capacity to get an executioner bargain on a specific make and model from one merchant that another merchant can't coordinate - not on the grounds that they would prefer not to, but rather in light of the fact that the principal merchant gets motivation or volume rewards that the second merchant does not in that specific month.
